NEW MOON ENERGY! Can you feel it? We've broken down some of this months New Moon energy, choose what resonates below and add it to your New Moon Ritual.
Being able to express oneself, tell the truth and speaking up when you want to. A simple practice you can do to open and active the throat chakra is to practice your Om-ing. Try it for yourself by finding a comfortable seat, eyes closed or open. Exhale fully, then inhale, as you exhale open your mouth and Om (sounds like AAAAAAA-UUUU-MMMMMMMMM). Repeat for as long as it feels comfortable. Remember, it doesn't have to be perfect, it is not a concert, it is a practice!
Feel more grounded and connected to Mother Earth by doing asana's such as Tree Pose, Childs Pose or Yogi Squat. Outside of your yoga session, you can get outside in nature, eat nourishing food and drink plenty of water.
Reconnect with yourself through movement such as Yoga. Get into your body and practice a moving meditation or any kind of movement that feels good for you. When you make time to connect with your souls vibration you will find creativity, power, balance, grounding, expression, truth and wisdom waiting for you.

Any other Mama's (or Papa's) out there still try to roll out the mat when your little one is playing contently - even though you KNOW that as soon as your little toe touches the mat they will turn around and run and jump on it?!
I persevered the other day because my body needed to stretch and my mind needed to focus on calm. I worked around Mila crawling around under me and gave her cuddles in between poses. It isn't the yoga session I'm used to, but I'll take it how ever it comes these days.
In the end I sat with my legs crossed and Mila crawled into my lap. I explained that "Mama was meditating" and closed my eyes and focused on my breath.
All was quiet. I could feel little eyes on me, wondering what I was doing, and just as I always teach in my classes I practiced being distracted, noticing, acknowledging, letting go and focusing my attention once again on my breath...
After a couple of minutes a little voice said "Mama?"
Me: "Yeah baby"
Me: "Hi baby"
Mila: "Mama tatting" (a.k.a meditating)
Me: "Yeah I was meditating"
Mila: "Yeah! Finished?"
Me: " Yeah"
With that she gives me a big smile and runs off to continue playing with her toys.
And that's just what a home practice looks like sometimes!
